Introduction

Gyebangsan faces Odasan on the east, and it is the fifth highest peak in Korea. To the west, there lies a high-altitude roadway(1,089m) called Woonduryung. To the north, there is Eulsoo valley, a known habitat of Halfmoon Bears. To the south, there are two springs well known for their terrific water source. Gyebangsan attracts many natural ginseng hunters due to its high availability in clean mountains. The rare yew and royal azalea forest line the mountain, and the terrain resembles that of Daechungbong. This area is desiganted a wildlife conservation area.
