Samyang Daegwallyeong Ranch
Samyang Daewallyeong Ranch is about 7.5 times the size of Yeouido in Seoul and the largest plateau grassland in Asia(about 4,900 acres). Its expansive green fields and pastoral ambiance have made it a popular filming location for several Korean movies and dramas. At the northeastern end of the ranch is the Donghae Observatory with its splendid view of the Gangneung area. The open view of the East Sea is breathtaking.
The view of 49 wind power turbines on a gently sloping hill is also quite unique Go in the direction of Hwangbyeongsan Mountain to find a natural walking path.
Past the villa of Eunseo and Junseo in the drama Autumn in My Heart, you will go through a thick pristine wood and valley to Samjeongho Lake.
Because the ranch is so large, some pasture remains untouched throughout the year. The area is blooming with dog’s-tooth violets in spring and Siberian chrysanthemum in autumn.

Sheep Herd Ranch
In the snow-capped hills of Daewallyeong, the pastoral ambiance of sheep herding ranches invites people to a scene from a movie. The scenic view of the glowing sunset is indescribably beautiful, with the landscape changing every season. One may well have the illusion of being in the European Alps. Use the hay in the paper bag that you received at the ticketing center to feed the sheep. This can be a fun and engaging learning experience for children. The sheep ranch is also a romantic and memorable dating course for young couples.
